1st of Shawwal and Hari Raya Aidil Fitri Celebration

Salaam members and friends,
1st of Shawwal and Hari Raya Aidil Fitri: Friday, April 21

The 1st of Shawwal and the end of Ramadan are less than 10 days away.  Preparations are already underway to celebrate this most auspicious and joyous day.

MIFNA will be hosting Solat ‘Aidil Fitri followed by brunch on Friday, April 21 at 9 am, and solat Jumaah at 1:15 pm at Skyview Event Center, 5257 Wineville Ave, Jurupa Valley, CA 91752.

All MIFNA members and Friends of MIFNA are invited.  MIFNA is providing all the food and refreshments for the brunch.  Guests are welcome to bring dessert, kuih Raya (Raya cookies), or fruits to share.

 

 

We are soliciting donations to help defray the costs for MIFNA’s Ramadan and Shawwal events.  May we suggest the following donation amounts:
Platinum:    ≥$1000
Gold:          $500-$999
Silver:         $200-$499
Bronze:      $100-$199

Donations in other amounts or in ‘kind’ are also welcome.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Main:

Cubed rice, white rice, beef rendang, ayam percik  (chicken in spicy coconut gravy), lodeh (vegetables, tofu, tempeh in coconut gravy), and peanut sauce.

Vegetarian:

Cubed rice, white rice, jackfruit rendang, vegetarian lodeh (vegetables, tofu, tempeh in coconut gravy), vegetarian peanut sauce, and vegetarian fried noodles.

Pizza & Noodles:

Cheese pizza

Veggie pizza

Mee goreng daging (fried noodles with beef & chicken) & Mee goreng udang (fried noodles with shrimp)

Desserts:
Kuih Raya (Raya cookies) and fruits.

Cold Drinks:
Fruit punch, Yeo’s assorted drinks, Soda, Water

Hot Drinks:
Coffee, Tea, 3 in 1 Coffee, 3 in1 Tea

 

Please be aware of and observe the following rules/regulations for the event:

  1. Registration/sign-in is required at the hall.
  2. Facial masks are optional.
  3. Please bring your own prayer mat for solat.
  4. Smoking or vaping is not allowed on the premises, in the parking lot, and at the neighboring Vernola Family Park (Riverside County ordinance).
  5. Children must be supervised at all times.

Recommended attire:  Traditional or business casual
