19th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Malaysian Islamic Foundation of North America (MIFNA) will be held on:
DATE: Saturday, December 13, 2025
TIME: 2:00 pm
PLACE: Jurupa Community Center (JCC), 4810 Pedley Road, Jurupa Valley, CA 92509

Agenda:
  1. To approve the minutes of the 18th AGM held on December 7, 2024.
  2. President’s Report for 2025.
  3. To approve the 2024 Financial Report.
  4. Proposal to amend MIFNA Bylaws (proposed amendment in red):
  1. SECTION 11.6. LOANS AND GRANTS
  1. The corporation shall not make any loans or grants to members without the members’ submission of a written application for the loan or grant, and only upon board approval.
  2. Terms of the loan or grant shall be clearly stated in a written contract, reviewed and approved by the board, and shall include the loan or grant amount, repayment terms, loan fees, repayment period, and installment amount.
    1. The maximum amount of loan shall be no more than 70% of the balance in the Emergency Assistance Fund (EAF) or ≤$4000 (whichever is less). Debtor shall complete and sign a Promissory note or loan form before the loan can be disbursed by the MIFNA treasurer.  Terms of payment: Loans ≤$2500 are to be paid within 6 months.  Loans >$2500 are to be paid within 1 year.
    2. The amount that can be given out per grant is no more than 20% of the balance in EAF or $1000 maximum (whichever is less).  Each recipient is limited to receive only one grant per year.
  1. ARTICLE II Section 2.1 NON-PROFIT PURPOSE:
           This corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, and educational purposes, including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.  MIFNA was incorporated on Nov 13, 2006, in the state of California.  IRS EIN (Tax ID): 20-8103223.
  1. Election of 2026-2027 MIFNA Board of Directors:
    1. Report by Election Chair
    2. Results of the Election
    3. Ratification of Election results.
  2. Other matters.
  3. Adjournment of meeting.
