2026 Ramadan and Shawwal Announcement
The Shura Council has just announced the expected dates for the 1st of Ramadan and the 1st of Shawwal (Hari Raya ‘Aidil Fitri) for the year 2026 (1447AH). Based on the Fiqh Council announcement, the dates are expected to be as follows:
First day of Ramadan and first day of fasting: Wednesday, February 18
First day of Shawwal and Hari Raya ‘Aidil Fitri: Friday, March 20
MIFNA will observe these dates for the start of Ramadan and Shawwal in 2026.
MIFNA will be organizing two communal iftar (majlis berbuka puasa) and a Bazaar Ramadan during the month of Ramadan. MIFNA will also host solat ‘Aidil Fitri and brunch on the first of Shawwal.
Please mark these following dates on your calendars:
February 28 (Sat): 1st Communal Iftar
March 8 (Sun): Bazaar Ramadan
March 14 (Sat): 2nd Communal Iftar
March 20 (Fri): Hari Raya ‘Aidil Fitri Solat and Brunch; Friday prayer
