Aidil Adha 2023 Announcement

Salam members and friends, 1st Dhul Hijjah and Aidil Adha (Hari Raya Haji) The Islamic Shura Council of southern California has just announced the start of the month of
Dhul Hijjah and the date for
Eid al-Adha 1444 AH. Below is an excerpt of the announcement:
“
The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has announced that Monday, June 19, will mark the first day of Dhul Hijjah. Therefore the ‘day of Arafah’ (hari wukuf) will be on Tuesday, June 27 and Eid al-Adha 1444 AH will be on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.” MIFNA will not be organizing
Aidil Adha prayer on June 28. Members are encouraged to perform the prayer at their local
masajid or Islamic centers. The Shura council will announce the timing and logistics of Eid prayer locations as they are finalized. Please go to
shuracouncil.org for more information about prayer locations closer to the date.
MIFNA will not be organizing
Qurban this year either. Members may donate for
Qurban through their local
masajid or online to any Islamic charity organizations such as:

Nasi Minyak (buttered rice)
Nasi Putih (white rice)

Mee Goreng (fried noodles)
Cold drinks: Air Sirap Limau (sparkling syrup with lime), Water
Hot drinks: Tea, Coffee, 3 in 1 Coffee and Tea mixes
Members are welcome to bring their favorite Hari Raya Haji dish, kuih (dessert), canned soda, juice, or fruits to share.
