Aidil Adha Thank You Message
Salaam members and friends,
Our recent Aidil Adha Brunch was well attended with approximately 200 guests. The Hari Raya Haji celebration was held at El Dorado West Senior Center, 2800 Studebaker Rd, Long Beach, CA on June 8, 2025.
Brunch was served at about 11:30 am. Much appreciation to the chefs and all volunteers who cooked and served the food.
MIFNA President, Hasnah Hamdan, gave the welcome remarks after brunch and made the following announcements:
- MIFNA has established an Endowment with American Muslim Community Fund (AMCF). Donation portal to this endowment will be uploaded on MIFNA website once the portal is completed and verified.
- Election for 2026-2027 MIFNA Board of Directors will take place in October-November 2025. Lin Adzhar has been appointed by MIFNA Board of Directors as the election chair and Kasdi Saat as the election auditor. Please consider running for office as four of the current Board members will be termed out of their current office/positions.
- MIFNA’s Family Day will be on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
A slide presentation by MIFNA members who performed the Hajj in 2024 was presented by Ishak Japar after the announcements. This was followed by Q&A where the hujjaj (pilgrims) described their most memorable moment, their most difficult challenge and their advice to future hujjaj. We then performed dhuhur prayer in congregation followed by takbeer.
We thank you, our members, for your support of MIFNA’s Aidil Adha (Hari Raya Haji) event. Thank you to everyone who brought main dishes, desserts, appetizers and fruits to share. Thank you also for your cash donations on-site and online.
