Death Announcement: Allahyarham Zakaria bin Ismail

Dear members and friends,

We are sad to announce the passing of Allahyarham Zakaria bin Ismail (aka Zak), one of the founding members of MIFNA and SoCal resident from 1989-2004.

Allahyarham died after a month-long illness (sepsis) on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 5:36 am (local Malaysia time) at KPJ Damansara Hospital in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was 69 years old. Allahyarham has been buried at Tanah Perkuburan Islam, Kg. Melaka, Hulu Langat, Cheras, Malaysia.

Allahyarham is remembered for his kindness and charitable work with the local masjid. He was also an avid golfer and participated in many MAS golf tournaments. He is survived by family in the USA and Malaysia.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family. May Allah grant them comfort and strength in their time of sorrow.
