The first of Shawwal and the end of fasting are just a week away. Preparations are already underway to celebrate this auspicious and joyous day.
 
MIFNA will be hosting Solat ‘Aidil Fitri followed by brunch on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at:

All MIFNA members and Friends of MIFNA are invited.  MIFNA is providing all the food for the brunch.  Guests are welcome to bring kuih Raya (Raya cookies) or a fruit platter to share.

We are soliciting donations to help defray the costs for MIFNA’s Ramadan and Shawwal events.  May we suggest the following donation amounts:

Platinum:    ≥$1000

Gold:          $500-$999

Silver:         $200-$499

Bronze:      $100-$199

Donations in other amounts or in ‘kind’ are also welcome.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.

3.   Smoking or vaping is not allowed on the premises.

4.   Children must be supervised at all times.

The Islamic Shura Council of Southern California has announced the following:

The first day of Shawwal (Eid al Fitr) is expected to be on Wednesday, April 10th.

For more information on how these dates were determined, please go to the Fiqh Council of North America website at moonsighting.com

For more specific Ramadan guidance, including reminders and recommendations, please go to the Shura Council website at shuracouncil.org

MIFNA will observe the start of Shawwal in solidarity with the Shura council, which represents the majority of Muslims in Southern California.

Solat (prayer) Hari Raya Aidilfitri and brunch are planned for Wednesday, April 10th.
