Message from the President, 2022-2023 MIFNA Board of Directors

Salaam members and friends,

On behalf of the new MIFNA Board of Directors, I want to wish you and your family a blessed 2022.

The 2022-2023 MIFNA Board of Directors assumed office on Jan 1, 2022. The Board will have its first board meeting on Jan 16, 2022. Further communication about MIFNA activities, structure, and contacts will be announced after Jan 16.

Currently, the MIFNA website and Facebook page are under construction.

For urgent issues, please call or text the President (Hasnah Hamdan at 949-230-1432) or the Vice President (Ishak Japar at 213-792-5166).

Several new teams/committees will be formed upon approval of the Board at the meeting on Jan 16, 2022. We shall announce the teams and the chairperson for each team. You may be approached by the chair of these teams to serve as a volunteer team member. I urge you to volunteer and participate in the team if approached. MIFNA is a non-profit organization and we all work voluntarily to contribute to the well-being of our ummah (community). Please consider this service your ‘amal jariah’.

I want to thank the 2020-2021 MIFNA Board of Directors, and the teams and volunteers who have managed MIFNA through a challenging two-year term, primarily due to the Covid pandemic.

This pandemic is not over yet. The reality is, we have to adapt and co-exist with the COVID-19 virus. As such, plans for MIFNA activities in 2022 will be tentative and fluid. I ask for your patience and understanding. We shall do our best to keep you updated with timely communication.
