MIFNA’s Solat Aidil Fitri and Brunch: Sun, Mar 30, 2025, Jurupa Valley, CA

 

1st of Shawwal and Hari Raya Aidil Fitri: Sunday, March 30

The 1st of Shawwal and the end of fasting is less than ten days away.  Preparations are already underway to celebrate this most auspicious and joyous day.

MIFNA will be hosting Solat ‘Aidil Fitri followed by brunch on Sunday, March 30, at the Skyview Event Center, 5257 Wineville Ave., Jurupa Valley, CA 91752.

All MIFNA members and Friends of MIFNA are invited.  To ensure that we have enough food, seats and ‘duit raya’ for the kids, we are asking for RSVP by clicking on this link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/150oJ5ftR8QbdZrN5jq-d8HFbSK9vtsr4QxHNHZzfx3E/preview. Please RSVP by Friday, March 28.

If you plan to bring non-MIFNA members as guests to the event, please contact Event Chair Hasnah Hamdan at 949-230-1432 by Friday, March 28, to register your guests.  A donation of $20 per guest is appreciated, or your guest(s) may join MIFNA as an individual, family, student, or honorary member.  The membership application can be completed online at Membership – MIFNA prior to the event.  Please RSVP with the total number of adults and kids attending (including guests) by March 28.

MIFNA is providing all food and drinks for the brunch.  Members are welcome to bring dessert, kuih Raya (Raya cookies), or fruits to share.

Call for DonationsWe are soliciting donations to help defray the costs for MIFNA’s Ramadan and Shawwal events.  May we suggest the following donation amounts:

Platinum:    ≥$1000

Gold:          $500-$999

Silver:         $200-$499

Bronze:      $100-$199

Donations in other amounts or in ‘kind’ are also welcome.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.

1.   You may donate online at Donation/Zakat – MIFNA.
2.   Donate in person to event chairperson: Hasnah Hamdan, MIFNA treasurer: Anizah Hairudin, or any MIFNA Board member.
3.   Put your donation into any Donation boxes that will be available at the event.

Rules/Requirements

Please be aware and observe the following rules/requirements for the event:

1.   Registration/sign-in is required at the hall.
2.   Facial masks are optional.
3.   Please bring your own prayer mat for solat if you can.
4.   Smoking or vaping is not allowed on the premises, in the parking lot and at the neighboring Vernola Family Park (per Riverside County ordinance).
5.   Children must be supervised at all times.

MIFNA will not be liable for any mishaps during the event.

Recommended attire:  Traditional or business casual.
