Death Announcement: Allahyarhamah Hajah Mariana binti Haji Abd Rahman

Dear members and friends,

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hajah Mariana binti Haji Abd Rahman, beloved mom to MIFNA member, Zarina Awang-Pearson.

Allahyarhamah passed away at 9:10 am, on Friday, May 8th, 2026 (local Brunei time), due to pulmonary edema.  She was 72 years old.  Allahyarhamah is survived by three sons, five daughters, three daughters-in-law, 4 sons-in-law, 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was buried at Tanah Perkuburan Islam Bukit Beranga, Kampong Jerudong, Brunei, at 12:37 pm on the same day.

Our condolences to our sister Zarina and the rest of Allahyarhamah’s family, may Allah grant them patience and comfort during this time of sorrow.
